14 May 2014 – Apraxia Awareness Day
We have made every effort to have as much as possible information loaded on our website for this day, to coincide with Apraxia Awareness Day in the USA.
Other attempts to create awareness to mark this day were as follows:
CASANA’s letter-to-the-editor was published in the May 2014 edition of the Child Magazine – Thanks Marina Zietsman (Editor of Child Magazine) for publishing our letter.
The Special Kids Magazine published a “Meet the Parents” piece on Deidre and Sidney Warner, parents of a boy diagnosed with Apraxia and an article on Apraxia/Dyspraxia, with the permission of CASANA – Thanks Nina Zylstra (Editor of Special Kids Magazine) for publishing these two pieces.
An Apraxia Awareness display at the Parow Library in Cape Town, put together by Rozaan Drotschie, an employee at the library. Rozaan regularly puts together displays to raise awareness about different conditions – Thanks Rozaan Drotschie for your contribution.
